Something unexpected happened to me the day I after quit the carnivore diet and bought my first batch of Primal groceries.
That day, as part of my transition back to a more normal diet, I ate a navel orange with my breakfast. Oh My God was it delicious! It was juicy and sweet and…wonderful.
Then, for dinner, I had Primal Mayo with my salmon, a salad with cabbage, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, carrots and cabbage. And a pint of raspberries. OMG was what came to mind again. The raspberries were like candy. The salad was crispy, bright and fresh – like eating a taste of Spring.
I had forgotten how much I missed salads, raw vegetables and fruits.
Eat mouthful made me smile. Each taste gave me a little burst of joy.
It’s been a long time since I felt that.
I wasn’t sure I ever would again.
