For the past week, I’ve been battling mosquitos nonstop. When I workout in the morning, they swarm my legs. Even though I now have lightning quick reflexes from my diet, I’ve been fighting a losing battle. Sometimes I don’t see of feel them biting me until it’s too late.
Then when I’m unleashing the dogs by the front door after our evening walk, I see the little bastards buzzing around my ankles. They seem to parked near my front door in anticipation of a dinner feast.
The bites have been pretty bad. Sometimes they wake me up itching. I slather on Benadryl cream, which stops the itching for a while but it returns later.
I tried a few things.
- I inspected my legs constantly during my workouts looking for little black buggers to swat.
- I closed the side door to my garage, since that leads to the yard which is constantly wet from our evening summer thunderstorms.
- I ran my garage fan on high to blow the mosquitos away.
Then suddenly, I knew what to do.
I put on long pants.
Sometimes the most obvious answer is the right answer.
