Bursts Of Ecstasy

Posted on May 17, 2022June 26, 2022 by Steve Ainslie

When I was a teenager, I remember a few days when I woke up for school full of energy, incredibly upbeat and almost jittery with excitement. Later that day, I’d see flashes of light (like after an old school camera flash went off in your eyes) and then I’d start to get a headache. That headache always tuned into an incapacitating, excruciating migraine.

Migraines were a regular part of the first 35 years of my life.

Now, waking up full of energy, clarity of mind, enthusiasm and excitement is my regular state of being. I think it is because of the carnivore diet. Being ketogenic (I suspect) and eliminating foods that I never realized gave me problems (sugar, carbohydrates and cheese) had transformed my state of mind and body.

Exercise and my lifestyle help too – as I wrote here.

And although I occasionally get headaches, I rarely ever get a migraine anymore.

But I get bursts of ecstasy nearly every day.
