As much as I despise most politicians and abstain from politics in general, I must admit, I admire how Kamala Harris has jumped right into the 2024 Presidential campaign by directly challenging Trump by calling out his litany of bullshit.
She’s shown more chutzpah, guts and creativity during the first two weeks of campaigning than the Democratic Party has in the past 4 years. Here are some of the actions I admire:
- She calls him out by name. She doesn’t pussyfoot around this by only referring to Trump as “my opponent” or the “other candidate”.
- She calls him a liar and backs it up with facts.
- She reacts to the total crazy bullshit he makes up with derision and dismissiveness saying things like, “I’m not even going to talk about that.“
- She uses humor to make fun of him online, a rallies and in videos. I love this.
- She is smiling, dancing, cheering and leading with a positive message.
She has not embraced Biden’s Eeyore like strategy focusing on the “end of democracy” gloom and doom messaging. Instead she’s got an energetic, go forward, make things happen vibe that’s like a beacon of hope.
Still, I don’t want to like her. After all, she’s a politician.
But she’s facing down the bully – which is exactly what I would do. It’s refreshing to see.
I hope she crushes him.
I can’t stand liars, bullies and con men.
