As a former fat kid who struggled with his weight for most of his life, I’ve found my answer to weight loss.
Exercise a lot.
Eat less.
I used to control my weight by exercising more and more. But I could never outrun a bad diet. Here’s why I stayed fat:
-
- I wanted to drink booze and still be skinny.
- I ate cheat meals.
- I snacked on ice cream, peanuts and chips a few times a week.
- I ate pizza.
- I ate takeout regularly.
I hate measuring food and counting calories.
I hate stopping eating when I’m still hungry.
So I found an approach that works for me. I went to a Primal diet. Then to Primal Keto-ish. Then finally to Carnivore.
The more I limited what I ate, the less hungry I became.
And the pounds came off while I still maintained a high level of energy,
That’s it.
Would I like to be able to eat anything I want and be thin but muscular like I was when I was in my late teens?
Would I like to be able to have “moderation in all things” and enjoy carbs, eating out, nuts and chocolate?
Of course I would.
But that doesn’t work for me.
And since I’d rather be thin and ripped, I choose a different path.
Someone once wrote that you can have anything you want. You just can’t have everything you want at the same time.
So make a choice and get moving to get what you want.
