There are times when I am fully immersed in prepping for my life on the road.
Those are good times.
I am challenged. I am focused. I am learning. I am meeting new people and being presented with new ideas.
I thought I’d share a few pictures and recent highlights.
This is my truck.
It’s a Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. 6 cylinder. 4 WD.
It’s the first truck I’ve ever owned and I love it.
This is my camper being built. It’s a Runaway Venturist.
Snickers and I will be sleeping in here. The back door which you cannot see in this photo opens to reveal my outdoor kitchen (a shelf really).
Other than my air mattress, I’ll keep my kitchen stuff and my solar powered batteries and my fridge in here.
Inside it’s 6 feet wide, 8 feet long and 43 inches high.
Since I am not a Hobbit, aside from sleeping or hiding during really bad storms, I will be living outdoors as much as possible.
I pick up my camper in a few days. I can’t wait to get it so I can get my solar wired up and my final modifications done this weekend.
Also, I want to see just how small it really feels. Whatever though – it’s going to be my home for the foreseeable future.
This is the rest of my stuff.
It fits in my truck and isn’t even stacked floor to ceiling. I expect that after a few weeks or months on the road, I’ll get rid of some of it once I determine what I don’t use.
It includes food, water, clothing, tools, cleaning supplies, kitchen stuff, medicines, dog food, laptop and one small miscellaneous box (books, photos etc.).
This is my toilet (whenever something better is not an option).
The home depot tagline is priceless.
I’ll take a bunch of pictures once I get my camper fully outfitted and on the road next week.
Hopefully it will not look like something owned by the Clampetts.
