Spring is here and I am loving it.
Every day gives me something to appreciate.
- The trees are blooming with puffy pink cherry blossoms, white cottony buds, and spring green leaves.
- Temperatures are rising with lows in the 40s 50s then 60s so I can finally put away my winter gear for a while ????
- I got my second Pfizer vaccine last week – no major issues or side effects. My shoulder was sore for 3-4 days and I got a 3-4” oval pink spot but otherwise detected no symptoms
- I think I finally dialed in my carnivore diet. 134 lbs and ripped. Little to no digestive issues. Great energy levels and super clear mind.
- Swimming is a joy. With temps in the 70s and 80s, the water feels refreshing vs frigid. They’ve even opened the big garage doors to let I. The fresh air and sunshine once again. After swimming in what felt like a frigid tomb all winter, I am grateful.
When I check the news, I get agitated about the new more contagious covid variants, the horrible things reported about deaths and suffering, political shenanigans, economic concerns, etc. I’ve been tuning this out more and more by not listening at all.
Most of it doesn’t affect me at all.
I am more affected by the city commissioners decisions, by the yellow pine pollen covering everything In a fine dust and by the local rain forecast. So I intentionally pay attention to those things and savor the little moments that are pleasant.
I am still quite socially isolated except for swimming each day and grocery shopping once a week. I am starting to think even post covid that my future life will be mostly solo. For now that seems OK.
