I think that Trump just won the 2024 Presidential election after the near miss assassination attempt that happened yesterday in Butler, PA. The photo of him raising his fist in the air with blood streaming down his face while shouting “fight, fight, fight” is iconic.
His dedicated base of supporters will, of course, rally around him. But more significantly, this moment will increase Trump’s appeal to the broader electorate. His instinctual showman response immediately after being shot stands in complete juxtaposition to Biden, who appears to be a feeble geriatric man suffering from cognition problems and visible physical instability.
I’ve got to hand it to him. Trump looked powerful, determined and resilient. He will leverage this moment for the rest of his life. I cannot stand the guy, and yet, even I was impressed with how he took advantage of the situation. It was pure showmanship mystery.
He seems invincible. He has not been affected by public perception, fraud, the legal system and now, to an assassination. As Bill Maher said, “He’s the luckiest mf’r on the planet.”
In addition to making him appear strong to voters, I imagine this incident will inflate Trump’s ego to a new level.
This soft, pampered rich boy who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth now has his ultimate “tough guy” moment documented on film for the the entire world to see.
He’s sure to believe he’s omnipotent and untouchable.
All of the recent Democratic agitation over Biden’s dementia and replacing him has been superseded by this assassination attempt.
Even if the Democrats can get their shit together to put a stronger candidate on the ticket, I think Trump is going to crush them in the election.
I predict a landslide victory for him. We’ll see if I’m correct.
