Anytime a podcaster, singer, celebrity or influencer proclaims how much they “love” you, don’t believe it. They don’t love you. Not according to my definition of love.
They like that you are an audience member. They appreciate the clicks, views and purchases you make that drive advertising sponsorships. They enjoy the money they make from you.
But they don’t care about you personally. How could they? You’re just one of millions.
Most of us have no concept of even one million. Try counting to a million. It would take 11.5 days to count to a million seconds.
You are one of them. Or less.
There’s nothing wrong with being a fan or supporting businesses and entertainers you like, even though you are one in a million.
But do it with the knowledge that you, personally, are nothing to them. Literally.
How could it be otherwise?
