I have been listening to a lot of podcasts on dating lately. A theme that runs through many of them is the bad behavior of people using dating apps.
There are many stories of ghosting, unsavory behavior, rudeness, and so on.
Sometimes, the podcasts will interview people who’ve behaved poorly to ask why they do so.
The answers, always, include some pseudo-pop psychology explanations of “childhood trauma, unresolved anxiety, attachment problems, etc.”
The offenders talk about their need to undergo years of extensive therapy in order to strengthen their inner child, learn to love themselves, set boundaries and over time, gradually reduce their obnoxious behavior.
Gag me.
I’ve got a better idea.
Just stop acting like an a$$hole.
