I have been writing and drumming every day.
I’m back to working out at a decent intensity and volume – about 85% vs. pre-surgery. I’m swimming at 100% and it feels great.
I’m looking for something good to read. The Foundation Series by Isaac Asimov was recommended and I’m on the library’s waitlist to get the first volume sometime in the next few weeks.
Netflix has been a major disappointment. My subscription expires in a few days and I will not be renewing. There’s nothing I want to watch.
I’ve been thinking about painting lately so it may be time to pull out my easel and canvasses once again.
Due to the Covid Delta variant, it seems like my city (and the entire US from what I read) has backtracked from our July “getting back to normal” brief interlude.
Hospitals locally are reporting high caseloads of Covid patients. Vaccination rates in my state seem to have stalled at 60%. What a disappointment.
My prediction/hope is that by this time next year, we are dealing with Covid the way we deal with the annual flu season, but with more effective vaccines. I hope it devolves from an all encompassing pandemic to a seasonal illness that does not shut down society and become the primary focus of politics, work and life.
Time will tell.
